YYSI / EDITORIAL
YYSI Editorial Standards & Corrections
How YYSI verifies sources, labels analysis, handles AI assistance, and corrects its reporting.
Sources before claims
We prioritize original announcements, documents, research, and directly inspectable pages. A collected headline is a candidate for research, not a verified story. We distinguish a publisher’s claims from independently established facts. Release dates, access conditions, prices, and numerical claims need current sources.
Dates and observations
An event date, a source’s publication date, and the date we observed a webpage are different. We label those differences. Observing a term on one page does not prove an organization-wide rename; a failed fetch proves no naming status.
Analysis, testing, and satire
Interpretation is labeled as YYSI analysis. We do not invent product tests, user experience, benchmarks, interviews, or statistics. Comparisons state their basis and limitations. Fictional terminology and entertainment tools are labeled separately from factual explainers.
AI-assisted production
AI tools assist with research, drafting, editing, and software maintenance. We use source verification and publication checks, but those checks cannot guarantee that every error will be caught. The publisher remains responsible for the material. Where an article reports testing, the described tests must actually have been performed.
Original contribution and rights
Our aim is to add useful explanation, comparison, and context rather than reproduce source articles. We link to sources, limit quotations, and use original or clearly permitted media. Source access alone is not permission to republish its text or images. Uncertain claims or media permissions should remain unpublished pending clarification.
Corrections and updates
Send the page URL, disputed claim, and supporting evidence to [email protected]. Substantive factual corrections should be explained on the affected page. Routine formatting fixes do not need a correction notice. Updated articles should distinguish new developments from corrections to earlier reporting.
The timeline records the October 20 corrections to the UN speech date and unsupported historical claims. Previously unsupported GSI terminology is now identified as fictional in the dictionary.
Commercial relationships
Sponsored material and affiliate relationships must be clearly disclosed when present. A commission is not evidence that a product is best for every reader. We do not manufacture traffic, clicks, endorsements, or reviews.
