Extract text from a PDF

Add a text-based PDF and the tool extracts each page's text locally, keeping line breaks where the PDF provides them. Copy a single page or download the whole thing.

How to use it

  1. Add one PDF and wait for the page count.
  2. Review the text page by page; copy any page you need.
  3. Download the full UTF-8 TXT, or a ZIP with one text file per page.

Limits & formats

Text-based PDFs up to 50 MB and 100 pages. Line breaks follow the PDF's internal text layout: multi-column pages can interleave columns, so check the result. Pages with no extractable text (scans or photos) are reported clearly — this tool does not OCR them; for a screenshot use the AI image-to-text tool instead.

Privacy

Your PDF is processed locally in this browser tab. YYSI servers never receive your files. Only anonymous usage counters (tool name, success or failure, rough size range) are recorded.
